Tulalip Tribes Quil Ceda WWTP Facility
Marysville, Washington

Engineer: Parametrix

Construction of a new wastewater treatment facility for the Tulalip Tribes in Marysville, Washington. The plant is designed around a membrane bio-reactor (MBR) filter system which enables the plant to treat significantly larger volumes of influent (untreated wastewater) in a smaller area.

The MBR utilizes a very fine screen to filter solids out while allowing the supernatant (water less solids) through. The aeration process occurs simultaneously. The treated effluent is then disinfected, pumped and discharged into to the surrounding fields.

Construction included a new headworks structure, MBR filter structure with pipe gallery, an effluent pump station with UV disinfection and an emergency power system which allows the plant to operate during power outages.
