A new 6.0 mgd water treatment facility for the City of Vancouver's water distribution system. This plant utilizes six greensand filters to treat pumped water from two new wells at the City's redeveloped Ellsworth springs for iron and maganeese. The project included a new masonry and steel treatment building with chemical treatment, a backwash reservoir below, six Robert's horizontal greensand filters, emergency power, and two new wells.
